  THE RACE FOR HOPE coincides with the early evening Final Friday Art Crawl. Participants race along the river, create beautiful artwork by adding a footprint to the 2014 HopeNet mural, enjoy music, food and fun at the finish line post party! Promote mental and physical wellness and support those in crisis. Participant privileges will include a t-shirt, race bib, and participation in the finish line post party. Over 75 awards designed by the children of HopeNet clients, will be distributed. Awards will be granted to overall top 3 teams, as well as the top 3 males and females in each 5 year age group from 12 (and under) to 70 (and up).

One of the state's largest women's-only walk/run is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Hesston, Kan. The 25th-annual Emma Creek Classic 5k Walk, Jog or Run is open to women of all ages and skill levels. Awards are given to the top 10 overall winners plus the top three in each of 16 age divisions. An awards ceremony and buffet follow the 5k. Each registered participant receives a T-shirt and a packet of items.   It is a four-mile walk/run that loops the Augusta Lake.  All proceeds benefit Project Jai Play, a special project fund committed to raising money for soft surface playgrounds for elementary schools.
After our hugely fun, successful 5k JWalk & Roll in November 2013, we were asked to have a fun walk/run before the next JWalk.  That is why we are now hosting the JHop & Run.  And, yes.  It WILL be all it is cracked up to be.
Registration begins at 9 a.m.  The race begins at 10 a.m.  This time, we're running/walking 4 miles - looping the Augusta Lake.  And afterwards, enjoy snacks, music, games and prizes!

Because Victory in the Valley is a local, non-profit cancer support organization and not a national organization.100% of the proceeds from this fundraising event stay locally to help cancer patients and their families. Team members receive a $3 discount and a Team Tag displaying the photo of the person the team is honoring. A fun morning at Exploration Place includes a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast; 5K Run; 2K Walk, 1/2 mile Kids Run, 1/2K Celebration Stroll and annual Survivors Celebration and Balloon Launch!   The 2nd "Round Up for Summer Festival" 5K & 10K fun run and 1 mi walk is an event for all ages and abilities.  This year the 1 mile walk was added to encourage everyone to get in shape to enjoy the summer.  The course for all events will begin and end at the beautiful Island Park on the north end of Main Street in Winfield on Sat. morning May 17 8:00AM. 
Registration & check-in begins at 7:15AM in front of the park.  Snacks & water will be provided.  Runners on the 5K paved course can enjoy the beautiful countryside on the north edge of Winfield.  The 10K course is mostly paved and meanders through both the countryside and quiet residential areas.  Runners may see wild turkey and deer on one portion of the run and will pass by the historic Union cemetary on the north edge of Winfield.  The 1 mile walk will take place inside Island Park.  The registration fee includes a T-shirt.  Pre-registration fee is $15.00 (until May 5).  Registration after that date or on the day of the race will be $20.00.  (T-shirt sizes will be limited after May 5).  Awards will be presented to the top runners and walkers for each decade in each event as well as the overall male & female winner for each event.  These awards will be presented in the Rotary Pavilion just inside Island Park at the conclusion of the events.

  Run or walk this scenic route in downtown Wichita winding through Delano, across the Pedestrian Bridge at The Keep of the Plains, under the walkway at Exploration Place and by the Water Wall at the Hyatt.  Finish in A. Price Woodard Park. Entertainment along the route and in the park.

  Race for Freedom is a 5K race organized by ICT S.O.S. to benefit local organizations in the fight against human trafficking. This year's event will benefit the Secure Care program at Youthville in Newton to provide updates to the facility as well as additional therapeutic programs for the young ladies served there.
The 2013 race drew 940 runners and raised $27,000 for the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County.

  This second annual event is sponsored by the Kansas Ultrarunners' Society. Run an easy (USATF certified) 1.232 mile unpaved trail/path at Buffalo Park (450 N. Maize Rd.) in west Wichita, for 6, 12 or 24 hours. The course is almost completely flat and is a great place to set a personal time and/or distance record! How many miles can you run in 6, 12 or 24 hours? It's up to you! Ultramarathon buckles for those who can run 50K in 6 hours, 50 miles in 12 hours, and 100 miles in 24 hours. All three events start at 7am. Long-sleeve shirts for all entrants. One stocked aid-station will be provided and easy drop bag access for runners.
