On August 31st, 2013, El Dorado Lake will host the area's first of it's kind all women's triathlon. This all women's triathlon event will be a Sprint Distance triathlon starting in the Walnut River Beach area. The 400 meter swim will follow a triangular course in the protected waters of Walnut River beach. The 9.5 mile bike course will follow a circular route throughout the lake and outskirts of El Dorado. The 3 mile run course will be throughout the lake property and along a paved bike trail. Aid stations will be found at every mile along the run course.
Various clinics and training opportunities will be hosted leading up to the event. Expect at least one clinic for each discipline hosted by local triathlon coaches and clubs.
