  The inaugural Kingman Kong Runathon race (50K 25K & 10K)will take place in Kingman, Kansas, on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Proceeds will benefit Main Place Youth - a non-profit origination whose mission and passion is to change lives of teenage girls and restore families. Visit our website at
Course information If you've run in these hills before as a training run, you know how beautiful and challenging they are. If you've never been out here, you are in for a treat!
The race starts near the east edge of Kingman at the Covenant Assembly of God Church. Indoor/outdoor space with restrooms, rest areas, and vendor tents will cater to every runner participating. The start line will be on the east edge of the church parking lot and will head east for a brief stretch through town before heading into the beautiful rural areas of Kingman County. Maps are posted to our Facebook page with aid station locations marked. Think Kansas is flat? Think again. The road quickly turns to red dirt where you'll encounter challenging, never ending hills. The hills are difficult, but the beautiful vistas and country scenery are second to none!

  There will be pacers, timing chips, and both courses will be USATF certified. There will be live music and food/drinks available. The event is an annual benefit event for Health Care Access which is a non for profit health clinic that serves Douglas County Kansas.

  Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage on our fast, flat course in Carey Park. 10k starts at 8:30 am, 5k starts at 9:00am and 1 mile fun run starts at 9:45am. Awards given to overall male and female/ masters male and female (40+) and the top 3 finishers in 13 age categories for 5k and 12 age categories for 10k. Finisher medals for participants that complete 5k and 10k.
Nice performance running shirts for registrations received by October 19th. Biscuits and gravy post race. All proceeds from this event will go to Open Door Pregnancy Care Center, located in Hutchinson, KS. Open Door is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of men and women in crisis pregnancy situations. They offer compassionate, non-judgmental care and the love of Jesus to each one who comes through their doors.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas Seize The Day Wichita 5k/1 mile family fun walk will be held at The Independent School in Wichita, KS. The timed 5k race will be on a USATF certified course managed by an RRCA certified race director starting at 9:00 am.   What is the Here We Glow Run? The Here We Glow Run 5k Run/Walk event is a night time experience. We encourage participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes.   The Kansas Road Mile Championship presented by Kansas Spine and Specialty Hospital is designated as the Kansas 1-Mile State Championship race by the USATF. It will be presented by GoRun Wichita and held on November 9th, 2014 at Towne East Square in Wichita. The races will be run on a USATF certified flat single loop course. All results will be sent to the Kansas Road Running Records. A fun event for all ability levels! There will also be $3400 in total prize money available in the Elite and Masters divisions, as well as age group awards in the Open division. After your race, please stay around for the unique opportunity to watch some of the best runners in the Midwest race for the championship!

  Hosted by the KU Veterans Alumni Chapter and the KU Collegiate Veterans Association.  The run will start and end at Memorial Stadium on the campus of the University of Kansas.  The route will take runners past the five Veterans Memorials on campus, as well as Pioneer Cemetery where 13 Civil War soldiers are buried and there is a monument to the Unknown Soldiers of the Civil War.

- KU's Wounded Warrior Scholarship Fund, which has awarded $60,000 since 2013
- KU Collegiate Veterans Association, which represents nearly 700 student veterans attending KU.

  This second annual event is sponsored by the Kansas Ultrarunners' Society. Run an easy (USATF certified) 1.232 mile unpaved trail/path at Buffalo Park (450 N. Maize Rd.) in west Wichita, for 6, 12 or 24 hours. The course is almost completely flat and is a great place to set a personal time and/or distance record! How many miles can you run in 6, 12 or 24 hours? It's up to you! Ultramarathon buckles for those who can run 50K in 6 hours, 50 miles in 12 hours, and 100 miles in 24 hours. All three events start at 7am. Long-sleeve shirts for all entrants. One stocked aid-station will be provided and easy drop bag access for runners.

One of the state's largest women's-only walk/run is set for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Hesston, Kan. The 26th-annual Emma Creek Classic 5k Walk, Jog or Run is open to women of all ages and skill levels. Awards are given to the top 10 overall winners plus the top three in each of 16 age divisions. An awards ceremony and buffet follow the 5k. Each registered participant receives a T-shirt and a packet of items. Race your way through the Salt City with this USATF-certified 13.1 mile course, starting in Carey Park and running along the Jim Martinez trail to Rice Park. From there, go through beautiful and quaint neighborhoods of Old Farm Estates and Kisiwa before running along Hutchinson's newest northeast trail toward a race-worthy finish inside Gowans Stadium on the HCC Campus.
