  El Dorado Lake will host 2nd Annual Tiara Triathlon. This all women's triathlon event will be a Sprint Distance triathlon starting in the Walnut River Beach area. The 400 meter swim will follow a triangular course in the protected waters of Walnut River beach. The 9.5 mile bike course will follow a circular route throughout the lake and outskirts of El Dorado. The 3 mile run course will be throughout the lake property and along a paved bike trail. Aid stations will be found at every mile along the run course. Finisher's will be crowned with tiaras and adorned with a shiny finisher's medal.
Various clinics and training opportunities will be hosted leading up to the event.

  Run for the Brand comes to Beef Fest for the second annual 5K and stick horse race for kids!  On the morning of August 23, come to The Orchard, a scenic grassland area, north of Emporia on Highway 99 and enjoy this unique 5K!  The race features unconventional ranch obstacles that will be fun for all!  Awards for the 5K will be given to the top three men and top three women in each age group.  Age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50+.  Children ages 6 and under and 7-12 may enter the stick horse race for free.
All proceeds will benefit the Ranchland Trust of Kansas (RTK), a non-profit organization affiliated with the Kansas Livestock Association.  RTK's mission is to preserve Kansas' ranching heritage and open spaces for future generations through the conservation of working landscapes.

Camp Quality Kansas is a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides year-round programs and an annual week-long summer camp for children, ages 4-17, who have cancer. All events are provided for the children and their families free of charge.

  Run the new certified course that begins and ends in BEAUTIFUL Central Riverside Park at the corner of Stackman & Nims. The course follows the bike paths up to 13th street crossing the Keeper of the Plains Bridge on the way to Lewis street before returning to the Park. Chip timing is provided by GoRun. Runners will be treated to 6 aid stations with water and sports drink. Runners will enjoy local eats at finish line provided by Texas Roadhouse, stretching before the race is provided by Holmberg Wellness Group, and Sveta's will be available for post-race massages - all included in your registration fee!   The Mother K 5k is a memorial walk/run event that will raise money for a scholarship to be given to a Council Grove High School graduate in Katie Gant's name. Description Our mission is to create a family-friendly walk/run event in memory of Katie Buchanan Gant. Katie was just 31 when she was taken from her family and friends too soon, leaving behind a loving husband and three beautiful children. Katie grew up in Council Grove, KS.
All proceeds of this event will go to the Katie Gant Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be awarded each year to a Council Grove High School senior or alumnae with preference to those pursuing a degree in health care - just as Katie did. Anyone can participate!   This biathlon begins with a 1500 meter run, then 5 shots at the shooting range in the prone position (lying down) with a .22 rifle at 5 knock down targets. Then a 2000 meter run and re-enter the range to shoot at 5 targets in the standing position. Finally upon exiting the range the runners will run 1500 meters to the finish line. 1. ABOUT THE RACE: Two person teams (adult/kid, kid/kid or adult?adult) race against other teams completing a one mile cross country course with obstacles/challenges that require teamwork. Whether you run, jog, walk or watch, it'll be a Bonding Experience you will never forget. Testimonial: What an awesome day my son and I had. 2. RACE DESCRIPTION:Modeled after the popular television show "THE AMAZING RACE", teams of two people race around a one-mile cross country course in competition with other teams, completing a string of up to eight fun-filled challenges. Clue Cards provided at each station directs teams to perform tasks that focus on team-oriented tasks (games, relays, obstacle course, etc.) before proceeding to the next challenge station. Contestants strive to arrive at the finish line with the fastest overall time to be declared the winners. Waves begin every 10 minutes  kids teams, then adult teams. Challenge stations include varying levels of difficulty, based on age and fitness level of the participants. Teams can choose Recreation or Competitive course. The competitive course  for those looking for a challenge consumes energies equivalent to that of a 5K race.
3. REGISTRATION INFO: Pairs only: adult/kid, kid/kid or adult/adult. Must be 5 years of age or older to participate. Children in Pre-K and Kindergarten must be paired with an adult.
4. GROUP DISCOUNTS: Teachers, military, law enforcement & fire departments, as well as members of Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, YMCA, 4-H, BBBS and BGC receive special pricing through the portal only.
5. DONATION EXCHANGE: Help us fight pediatric cancer by donating 2 pairs of used sneakers or running shoes to Max Cure Foundation's Dunk Your Kicks program and receive a free mulligan or time saver token for the race. (
6. RACE DIVISIONS: Race divisions are determined by grade of youngest team member: Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-9 and Grades 10-Adult teams.
7. AWARDS: Every team that crosses the finish line gets an award to recognize their accomplishment Medals are presented to the winners of each race division. The top 25 teams, from each city race, qualify for the National Championship Race and $2,000 prize!

  Lexi's LAMB Foundation was formed in memory of Alexis Sparks to help children in local hospitals. Lexi's brief time on earth touched the lives of so many and her courage to keep fighting no matter what inspired so many more. Each year the foundation touches the lives of thousands of local children and their families. Whether it is something small like a sippy cup to something larger like a video game system to help distract the child during their hospital stay, our goal is bring comfort to the children while they are sick. Please join Lexi's family and friends on October 26, 2014 as we celebrate her life and raise money for children in local hospitals.

  The inaugural Kingman Kong Runathon race (50K 25K & 10K)will take place in Kingman, Kansas, on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Proceeds will benefit Main Place Youth - a non-profit origination whose mission and passion is to change lives of teenage girls and restore families.
Course information If you've run in these hills before as a training run, you know how beautiful and challenging they are. If you've never been out here, you are in for a treat!
The race starts near the east edge of Kingman at the Covenant Assembly of God Church. Indoor/outdoor space with restrooms, rest areas, and vendor tents will cater to every runner participating. The start line will be on the east edge of the church parking lot and will head east for a brief stretch through town before heading into the beautiful rural areas of Kingman County. Maps are posted to our Facebook page with aid station locations marked. Think Kansas is flat? Think again. The road quickly turns to red dirt where you'll encounter challenging, never ending hills. The hills are difficult, but the beautiful vistas and country scenery are second to none!

  Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage on our fast, flat course in Carey Park. 10k starts at 8:30 am, 5k starts at 9:00am and 1 mile fun run starts at 9:45am. Awards given to overall male and female/ masters male and female (40+) and the top 3 finishers in 13 age categories for 5k and 12 age categories for 10k. Finisher medals for participants that complete 5k and 10k.
Nice performance running shirts for registrations received by October 19th. Biscuits and gravy post race. All proceeds from this event will go to Open Door Pregnancy Care Center, located in Hutchinson, KS. Open Door is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of men and women in crisis pregnancy situations. They offer compassionate, non-judgmental care and the love of Jesus to each one who comes through their doors.

  This second annual event is sponsored by the Kansas Ultrarunners' Society. Run an easy (USATF certified) 1.232 mile unpaved trail/path at Buffalo Park (450 N. Maize Rd.) in west Wichita, for 6, 12 or 24 hours. The course is almost completely flat and is a great place to set a personal time and/or distance record! How many miles can you run in 6, 12 or 24 hours? It's up to you! Ultramarathon buckles for those who can run 50K in 6 hours, 50 miles in 12 hours, and 100 miles in 24 hours. All three events start at 7am. Long-sleeve shirts for all entrants. One stocked aid-station will be provided and easy drop bag access for runners.
