  El Dorado Lake will again host the area's only all women's triathlon. This all women's triathlon event will be a Sprint Distance triathlon starting in the Walnut River Beach area.
The 400 meter swim will follow a triangular course in the protected waters of Walnut River beach.
The 9.5 mile bike course will follow a circular route throughout the lake and outskirts of El Dorado.
The 3 mile run course will be throughout the lake property and along a paved bike trail.
Aid stations will be found at every mile along the run course.

  The 4th Annual Race for Freedom 5K
Hosted by ICT S.O.S. will be held Saturday September 12, 2015 on the beautiful campus of Carpenter Place. This fast, flat course starts and ends at Carpenter Place with a route winding through the Indian Hills area and along the river. Last year's event drew 1,080 participants and raised $27,500 for the Youthville Secure Care Program in Newton, Kansas. This year's funds will benefit Saint Francis Community Services and assist with their work with at-risk and trafficked youth in Kansas. Join us for live music, a pancake feed, kids' activities and awards, including $1000 in prize money, after the race.

The course follows the bike paths up to 13th street crossing the Keeper of the Plains Bridge on the way to Lewis Street before returning to the Park. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female runners, and to the top finishers in each age category. Volunteers put on the race and all profits benefit The Center of Hope, preventing homelessness in Wichita and The Armendariz Hispanic Scholarship Fund at Newman University.

  This biathlon begins with a 1500 meter run, then 5 shots at the shooting range in the prone position (lying down) with a .22 rifle at 5 knock down targets. Then a 2000 meter run and re-enter the range to shoot at 5 targets in the standing position. Finally upon exiting the range the runners will run 1500 meters to the finish line. This takes place at The Outback Park Firearm Training and Public Range in McPherson, KS. this event is a benefit for the Bedtime Rocks program in McPherson, KS. Bedtime Rocks is a non-profit organization that provides blankets, pajamas, and education to parents and children about the importance of a good bedtime routine.

The Meritrust Tiger Trot features one of the states only certified 15k courses.  Both the 15k and 5k races are chip-timed. The courses have been completely redesigned into more of a loop and finish through Tanganyika.  Both races are the official training races the Prairie Fire race series, and part of the Wichita Grand Prix Meritrust Race Series. This year we will have OVER $2,000 IN PRIZES and GIVEAWAYS.  In addition, every participant receives a performance swag (while supplies last) and free admission to Tanganyika Wildlife Park so you can enjoy the Park after the race or visit another day.

  Bringing your three favorites together - bacon, beer and running!  The 5K route starts at the Wichita Ice Center and takes you along the river, wrapping around one of the most beautiful sites in Wichita, the Keeper of the Plains.  This is not a chip-timed event, so enjoy the views. Awards will be given out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for Men, Women and Kid categories.  On-site registration opens at 3:00PM.  After the race, wet your pallet with an ice-cold beer (participants 21 and older) and cast your vote for your favorite bacon-tizer, presented by local restaurants.  In addition to bacon and brews, we'll have live music, bouncy houses, face painting and gaming stations.   During the after party, we'll crown King of the Bacon to your favorite restaurant and hand out participant awards.  All proceeds will assist in providing athletic scholarships for deserving youth in Sedgwick, Harvey, Butler and Reno counties.

Race your way through the Salt City with this USATF-certified 13.1 mile course, starting in Carey Park and running along the Jim Martinez trail to Rice Park. From there, go through beautiful and quaint neighborhoods of Old Farm Estates and Kisiwa before running along Hutchinson's newest northeast trail toward a race-worthy finish inside Gowans Stadium on the HCC Campus.

6th annual race. Online registration available as well as mail-in registration forms available. Registration forms also available at both GoRun Wichita locations. Small town race with great hospitality, homemade desserts for awards for top finishers overall and age-groups, and a great finish line celebration. Half-marathon (with a NEW COURSE) starts at 8am and the 5K/10K starts at 9am. Race is chip-timed. T-shirts and medals to all finishers. Fun course with great views of the Kansas prairies.

  Enjoy the beautiful fall foliage on our fast, flat course in Carey Park. 10k starts at 8:30 am, 5k starts at 9:00am and 1 mile fun run starts at 9:45am. Awards given to overall male and female/ masters male and female (40+) and the top 3 finishers in 13 age categories for 5k and 12 age categories for 10k. Finisher medals for participants that complete 5k and 10k.

All proceeds from this event will go to Open Door Pregnancy Care Center, located in Hutchinson, KS. Open Door is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of men and women in crisis pregnancy situations. The Gobble Wobble is an 8K (4.97 miles) officially timed race open to both runners and walkers.  The route will take you in and around Haysville on roads as well as paved bike path.  Participants will enjoy a free breakfast of pancakes and sausage by the famous Chris Cakes!

  The Kansas Road Mile is designated as the Kansas 1-Mile State Championship race by the USATF. The races will be run on a certified record eligible flat single loop course. All results will be sent to the Kansas Road Running Records. A fun event for all ability levels! For 2015, there will be a new community walk option. There will also be $3400 in total prize money available in the Elite and Masters divisions, as well as age group awards in the Open division. 
COME MEET JIM RYUN! Jim will be handing out awards and signing autographs throughout the race. After your race, please stay around for the unique opportunity to watch some of the best runners in the Midwest race in the elite division!

  The Fall GOTR 5k is a community event open to men and women of all fitness levels. The 5k is the culminating achievement for hundreds of girls who have completed our nationally-recognized after-school program. Girls are joined by parents, coaches, friends, and community runners in a fun celebration of health, wellness, and girl power! All GOTR Sedgwick County 5k events are open to the public. You do not need to be a GOTR program participant girl to participate! All finishers receive “woohoos!” and the admiration of numerous spectators, a 5k finishers medal, and a 5k gift. Everyone who crosses the finish line is a winner. Join us!   The oldest race in Wichita is turning 40! For 2015, there will be finished medals for all participants and the race is changing locations to Northrock Lanes.
